The center for Innovative Learning (iLEARN) of the College of Arts and Sciences supports a
variety of innovative educational programs and undergraduate research activities in the College and its departments. It also serves as a clearinghouse for information about undergraduate research and other innovative learning opportunities, as well as a source of encouragement and support for their further development.
The center helps students complement traditional classroom and laboratory work with enhanced out-of-classroom learning experiences. These experiences represent active learning at its best, tapping students’ creativity, curiosity, and drive. These kinds of opportunities also enable students to apply their knowledge and skill to real world problems, and give them the kinds of experiences helpful in making career choices.
